Founder, Mosaix Learning Strategies

Tom Decker founded Mosaix to bring practitioner-level experience directly to the teams who need it most. A seasoned people leader with deep roots in L&D, Tom built his career on a simple purpose: leaving people better than he found them, and serving others by building things that last.

Inside major organizations, he did exactly that — architecting custom learning tech stacks from the first line of code to enterprise scale. He knows what it takes to align vision, leadership, and engineering talent because he's done it.

Whether designing a learning strategy, architecting a technology stack, or developing leaders, Tom's work has always returned to the same foundation: the human experience. Technology without that foundation is just infrastructure. L&D without it is just content. And leadership without it is just authority. Tom builds all three with the employee at the center — because he believes that when people feel genuinely invested in, everything else follows.

Tom founded Mosaix to focus on two critical, interconnected areas: the first-time leader and the L&D teams that support them. Too often, these two functions operate in isolation, reducing employee development to a rigid, transactional loop of check-the-box training and basic task management. Tom views the intersection of learning strategy and frontline leadership not as separate corporate functions, but as an organization's ultimate point of leverage.

When L&D teams and new leaders are completely in sync, the entire ecosystem shifts from a transactional grind into a transformational loop. Through core frameworks like Bedrock and Basecamp, Mosaix helps organizations build this shared foundation. The result is a self-sustaining culture where team engagement skyrockets, performance and creative thinking are unlocked, and employees are finally empowered to reach their full potential.

Foundation

What we solve and how we do it differently.

The Problem We Solve

Most organizations treat learning and development as a collection of isolated events rather than an interconnected system. Training is built in a vacuum, technology is deployed as disconnected point-solutions, and new leaders are dropped into roles without the systemic support they need to succeed.

When development is fragmented this way, the pieces fight each other. The result is a disjointed ecosystem—programs that feel confusing to employees, technology that creates friction instead of flow, and business outcomes that never stick because the structural tissue is missing.

How We Are Different

We build bridges where others build silos—but we don't build them for you; we teach your teams how to build them. Bringing deep technology fluency and a systems-first principle of connection, we look at your people, platforms, and leadership pipeline as a single, living ecosystem.

Our role is to guide, coach, and co-engineer the architecture alongside your people. By focusing on transferring capability rather than just executing tasks, we ensure your internal teams have the skills, confidence, and structural blueprint needed to seamlessly own and scale the system long after we leave.

Philosophy

Everything we do starts with people.

Strong organizations aren't built on technology or process alone. They're built on leaders who know how to develop others, and on learning functions that understand how to effectively enable human growth.

The human experience is the foundation.

Whether we're designing a learning strategy, architecting a technology stack, or building a leadership program, every decision runs through the same filter: what does this experience look and feel like for your people?

Leadership is a mindset.

Real leadership is about unlocking the potential of the people around you. The transition from individual contributor to people leader is the highest-leverage moment in any organization — and the most underinvested. We build the mindset, frameworks, and habits that turn managers into leaders who multiply human potential.

Systems thinking before solutions.

We help you map the ecosystem — what is already in place, who owns what, and where the real friction lives. The right intervention is a conclusion, not a starting point. Solutions without systems thinking are just expensive guesses.

Building people cultures that last.

Every engagement is designed to leave your team stronger and more capable — not more dependent. We transfer knowledge, build frameworks people can own, and measure success by what continues to work after we leave.

Who we serve

Learning professionals and people leaders closest to the work.

Who we work with

We partner with learning leaders, L&D practitioners, first-time managers, and directors who are responsible for driving capability in the organization. They need practical frameworks, credible partnerships, and the confidence to lead development with intention.

What brings them to us

They come to us when their learning initiatives are stuck in silos, their technology stack is fragmented, or their leaders are being promoted without a clear development path. They want a partner who can connect the pieces and make learning matter.

Let's talk about your next move.
